A routine aerial inspection earlier last week detected holes in one of the insulators that terminates the cable on the first pole at Cuttlefish Bay, a remote area on Kangaroo Island only accessible by boat.

23/10/2008 | POLICE NEWS - On October 9, the Coast Guard from Kingscote launched its vessel to pull a 10-tonne timber sailing boat which had run aground on the sandy spit outside Nepean Bay. The boat was pulled from the spit successfully.
