A Kingscote man was stopped for a random breath test on Saturday morning September 13 about 2am and issued with an immediate loss of licence for driving with excess blood alcohol. He allegedly had a reading of 0.103.
On September 14 police reported an American River woman for driving with excessive alcohol in her blood. She allegedly had .136% alcohol in her blood and was issued with an immediate loss of licence for six months.
A Kingscote man was reported on September 9 for driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle on Hog Bay Rd. Police also issued him with a notice for a small amount of cannabis found in his possession.
On September 10 police reported a man from Newland for driving on Burdon Dr, Brownlow, while unlicensed and the vehicle unregistered. Also on September 10 police reported an American River woman, 47, for driving an unregistered vehicle and having a faulty light on Telegraph Rd, Kingscote.
On Thursday night September 11, about 160 young people attended the Blue Light Social. There were extra police from the community programs unit who assisted with local officers and parents that supervised. All had a great time and $870 was raised from the disco for benefit of the KI Rock Eisteddfod.
On September 12 at 1.30am, police attended a Kingscote residence where an Environment Protection Order was issued to a female for 72 hours. She was also issued with a general expiation notice for causing an environmental nuisance.
On September 12 a small fire in a native bush in the rear car park of the medical clinic was attended by CFS.
Police issued a traffic infringement notice on September 18 to an American River woman for failing to wear a seatbelt. Also on the same day a traffic infringement notice was issued to a Kingscote man for failing to wear a seatbelt.
On September 16 a council worker was travelling on the North Coast Rd, Stokes Bay when the driver of a Holden Rodeo Ute lost control. The vehicle spun around, hit the embankment and rolled. There were no injuries but $30,000 damage to the vehicle.
On September 19 a Wisanger male was driving on North Cape Rd when he swerved to miss two wallabyies causing him to lose control of the vehicle and roll. He was not injured but $10,000 damage was done to his vehicle.
Police also issued a traffic infringement notice on September 20 to a 44 year-old Parndana man for driving a vehicle with an expired licence in March when involved in a motor vehicle collision.
