Tracey Matthews came on in third quarter for Ange Horges and challenged the Defence for Kingscote but Kingscote continually attacked the ball to again lengthen the lead.

Final quarter Parndana lost momentum with Kingscote determined to make the grand final by beating Parndana for the first time this season.

A great defensive game with Caitlin, Carly, Morgan and Jasmin making many turnovers for Kingscote. Katrina and Tash feeding well into goals under great pressure from Belinda and Kasey for Parndana.

A disappointing result for Parndana as they were really keen to again meet Dudley in the Grand Final. Good luck to the Kingscote girls for Saturday – it should be a fantastic game.

13&Under

Kingscote 52 d

Parndana 44

Parndana came out strongly with good solid team play throughout the court and accurate shooting from Kimberly May.

This seemed to unsettle the Kingscote girls initially, but to their credit they pulled it back together and settled into the game. Parndana up by six going, into the second quarter.

Kingscote came out very determined and before long the score was even. Tayla Lovering in GA for Kingscote inspiring her team with strong attacking play and accurate shooting. The two centre players Chelsea Hicks (P) and Eliza Sheridan Turner (K) having a great game. Kingscote edged away, taking the lead by four goals at the half-time break.

Kingscote holding onto their four-goal lead as both teams scored an even 12 goals for the quarter.

The start of the last quarter and play was once again very even. Kingscote finishing off strongly to take the game by eight goals.

11&Under

Dudley 24 d Kingscote 19

Dudley started strongly despite some of their girls not being 100 per cent well. They had five goals before Kingscote could finally score. Lots of stepping errors picked up by umpires as both teams settled their finals day nerves.

There was a lot of play mid court to score the first goals. Great quick passes to score much-needed goals by Kingscote. Great defence by Kingscote keeping Dudley away from scoring more.

Kingscote trying hard to keep ball in their quarter but Dudley managing to get the ball back. Kingscote off the beat, Dudley playing strongly.

The gap between the teams remained at five goals for most of the game, Kingscote making a brave attempt in the final quarter and getting within two goals but couldn’t peg back the lead they gave Dudley at the start of the game.

A great game by two very even teams with Dudley more decisive on the day and making best use of their opportunities.
