Kingscote Ladies
Looking very prolike with caddies and all the girls set out, Marilyn organised with a map on her back just in case she strayed from the rest and couldn’t find her way back.
First Division – with the championships well on the way, today the semi finals were played. Judy Bell played Jenny Clifford, Judy winning 6/5
Anne Turbill played Heather Gray; Heather won this game 6/4. So next week Heather and Judy play the final to determine who will be this yea’rs champion. Good Luck to both girls - may you do Tiger proud!
In Second Division – Joan Jenkins played Leonie Florance, Joan won 4/3,and Maureen Pease played Hilde Paepke with Maureen having a win 4/2. So Maureen and Joan play over 36 holes to find the winner. Never mind we will have the fire lit, the port on the table and the deep heat ready and waiting may even borrow Leonie’s couch.
I would just like congratulate Leonie Florance on her first year of golf, Leonie has joined in all events including the championships and is loving every minute of it, and just a little tip, if you don’t want to concede two-inch putts then so be it!!
Great to have Hilde back after a bout of eye sickness we miss Hilde when she is not about the place.
Well good luck to all the finalists may you have a fun day and the weather is kind to you, and beware of the grumpy old umpires.
