Last-half lunge lifts Eagles

A Grade

Dudley United 56 d Wisanger 42

Dudley started strong, however Wisanger fought back hard to win the first and second quarters by one goal.

Renae Florance playing well in GD turning over many balls and rebounding.

Jane Roberts was directing the play round goals and working well with Lucille Steyn in GA.

Mel Turner’s strong accurate passes along with Ali Stott’s consistent backup made a very strong team.

Dudley was firing at the start of the third quarter.

Holly Buick proving an asset at WD earlier in the game and strengthened the Dudley goal end as GA in the second half of the game.

Dudley was able to keep playing strongly until the end of the game to win by 14 goals.

Parndana 51

d Western Districts 25

Parndana started with the pass.

Both teams feeding strong into their goalies.

Kiri and Kelly working hard in the centre.

At half time Parndana led 28-10.

Third quarter started even, Parndana putting the pressure on WD goalies Ashyka and Ebony.

Last quarter WD played better feeding the ball into their goalies and GD and GK Simone and Danielle putting pressure on in defence.

All players fought the game hard.

B Grade

Dudley United 47

d Wisanger 39

Both teams opened with fast even play.

Tight defending all the way down the court and especially in both circles. Scores even at quarter time.

The second quarter saw play go goal for goal, but Dudley gained a turnover to go into the half time break three up.

The third quarter was tight, but a couple of errors from Wisanger that Dudley capitalised on, blew the lead out to eight.

The fourth quarter was much the same with Dudley running out winners by 12 goals.

Bridget (W) created lots of space down the court.

Di (W) tight in the circle.

Sue (DU) didn’t miss many goals.

Della (DU) played a great game.

Parndana 74

d Western Districts 28

Both Parndana and Western Districts coming out strong with good movement in the goal circle for Parndana.

Western Districts strong in goals in the second quarter, but Parndana still ahead at half time.

Alicia and Eliza making some good interceptions helped Parndana finish strongly.

C Grade

Parndana 36

d Western Districts 26

Western Districts and Parndana played an even game with Parndana coming out in front after half time.

Linda played well in defence for Western Districts.

Bec Hams played well in goals for Parndana.

C Grade

Wisanger 1 50 d Dudley United 46

A fast start by both teams with Wisanger down by three at quarter time.

Second quarter was fast and furious with Dudley slightly ahead at half time.

The third quarter was an absolute cracker with both teams giving their all. Even scores at three-quarter time.

Final quarter saw both teams throwing everything into it.

Wisanger hanging on to win by four goals.

Jan Ordway in GA and Adele Macphee in C for Dudley great game.

Rachel Barr an absolute star in GD and Skye Baker awesome in GA for Wisanger.

A great game to watch. Well done to all.

Wisanger 2 37 d Kingscote 29

A really fast paced start to the game.

Thelia Stevens working hard for Kingscote.

Wisanger fighting hard with Alison Berden keeping the pace up.

Second quarter more settled.

Chiara Williams doing an excellent job in GK for Kingscote.

Emma Buschhueter doing well in defence for Wisanger.

Third quarter still a very close game.

Both teams contesting with Wisanger pulling ahead.

Last quarter tightly contested.

Pauline Taylor doing a great job as keeper for Kingscote.

Katherine Lewis running well in C for Wisanger.

D Grade

Kingscote 43 d Wisanger 23

Scrappy start by both teams, but Kingscote settling early to be up in first quarter.

Wisanger settled in the second quarter to even up play.

Third quarter saw even play from both teams.

Fourth quarter saw Wisanger chase and defend hard, but Kingscote too strong on the day. A good game by all.

Parndana 56 d Western Districts 11

Parndana starting out with a few quick goals.

Aroha GK and Vivienne GD for Wonks keeping the pressure on Mel.

Parndana leading by 10 at quarter time.

Wonks defence tight in second quarter picking up every loose ball.

Kristen Platten and Shirley Pledge providing strong back up at centre passes.

Third quarter starts with a few miss throws.

Parndana has some very fast play with lots of fast goals.

Leah and Ash doing some quick moves in the goals.

Defence and goalies swap in last quarter to spice things up from the short to tall – all had fun.
