Thursday, September 25 was Grand Final night and end of season wind-up for the Kangaroo Island Table Tennis Association for 2008.

Minor premier team, Phonies, with team members Peter MacLean, Kieran Wallace, Daryl Steinwedel, Lee Campbell, Ian Wallace and Trudy Ramsay continued its good form to defeat Cheetahs 39 games to 34 to win the Premiership Shield.

Congratulations to the Phonies team.

Earlier in the month, on September 8, a handicap tournament sponsored by Ingram’s Home Hardware was contested and enjoyed by many of the players from all five teams that are part of the KITTA. Winner on the night was Josh Graham with his dad as runner-up. Once again we have had a successful and pleasant season and we take the opportunity to advise that any potential new players are always welcome for next season.
