Wisanger v Dudley United
It was a grey day at Wisanger, with a strong wind that persisted throughout the day.
The Colts played well against each other but Dudley’s young team lost to Wisanger convincingly.
The B Grade saw two closely matched teams fight hard throughout the game, but Wisanger managed to pull away in the fourth quarter. A very good game to watch.
The A Grade saw Dudley came out strongly scoring quickly in the first quarter despite strong winds.
Billy Turner tackled hard with every opportunity and ran hard, while Quarter found space even though he was closely followed.
Bowdy made a long run, dodging many opponents and an umpire, which resulted in a goal and Brodie Howard made space and tackled hard.
In the second quarter Dudley again scored quickly, but then Wisanger’s defence managed to slow Dudley’s scoring spree. Terry Hall showed off his speed and Yogi came through with a strong voice. Darcy Kildea made good decisions and positioned himself well.
Clayton Willson continued to play well, as did Bowdy, who covered a lot of ground every time he got his hands on the ball and Michael Condo found space and marked well for Dudley.
Towards the end of the quarter the ball began to move around a lot quicker.
The third quarter saw Wisanger come out with a renewed fire, working well together from the beginning.

Adam Buick and Brodie Howard worked well through the centre, getting the ball moving quickly, as did Clayton Willson, who got the ball up off the ground.
Dudley pulled their act together taking advantage of opportunities, playing smarter, after dropping their game slightly in the previous quarter.
Wisanger then retaliated by picking up their game another notch. Nathan Ley picked up Wisanger’s defence, getting his hands on the ball with every opportunity. Quarter played consistently all game.
A good quarter to watch, with both teams playing well throughout and a lot of pressure on the ball in a low scoring quarter.
Dudley again came out strongly early in the fourth quarter, the strong wind ensured goals from outside of the 50m line.
Nathan Ley continued to find the ball, Jason Fryar tackled hard, taking down one of the biggest blokes on the field and Roy Jones played consistently well.
Brodie Howard continued to play well as did Clayton Willson.
In the end Dudley came out on top convincingly in a game played well by both teams.
