The community embraced Old Bags Day last Friday with three-quarters of shoppers turning up at supermarkets and other outlets with their own bags and the remainder willing to use boxes or buy reusable bags.

Sail training started on Saturday for both adults and juniors. Unprecedented interest - probably created by the “Come ‘n Try Sailing” - saw nine adults, three windsurfers and 37 juniors turn up.
